Happy Father's Day

TO THE BEST DADDY IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

I can't take credit for this super cute hand print tree. I got the idea from The Crafting Chicks
All I had to do was download the template, have our local print store make it into an 11" by 14" on hard card stock, and then the kids chose their colors. Ta da!

The Graduate

Sophia graduated from her Butterfly class! sniff sniff

Diploma and a sweet treasure chest from the teachers for being room mom.

Everyone who reads this blog and/or knows me, knows just how much I love LAPS. It's the perfect school for my girls and I can't wait for Kalista to start in August. And you can bet I will be right there with her, just like I was for Sophia. From room mom to the upcoming Board President . . .
I. Will. Always. Be. There.

Sophia's answers to 'All About Me':
My name is Sophia.
I am 4 years old.
I have brown hair and black eyes.
My favorite color is pink.
My favorite toy is my stuffed animals.
My favorite food is fish and I really don't like to eat salad. Yuck!
My favorite animal is a unicorn.
When I'm at school I like to play in the dress-up area inside and I like to play on the swing outside.
I like to play with all of my friends and we have fun playing in the dress-up area & stuff.
When I grow up I want to be a mom.

WE LOVE YOU, SOPHIA GRACE! AND WE ARE SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!

My Deep Sea Fisherman

Alaska . . . pretty wouldn't you agree? Darling Hubby just got back from his annual Alaskan fishing trip. And although the picture above looks nice, it's not the kind of trip Darling Wife would enjoy. Not that I don't mind the outdoors, but let's just say Glacier Bear Lodge in Yakutat, AK is very remote. Oh and not to mention that I get very sea sick. I have yet to step foot on our boat in the harbor because the motion sickness is so bad : (

I think this pretty much sums up the place. : )

Oh and this pretty much sums up what the whole trip is about.
Not bad for a day's work!

It always helps to stand by your fish to understand its' true size.
Winner, winner of the 100 pounder in the middle?
DARLING HUBBY : )

Graduation Cupcakes

Sophia's preschool school graduation is this Friday and I thought I would help her class kick-off the week with this:

Can't take credit for the idea. Gotta love Pinterest!

Super simple and cute! I had to improvise and use Rolos and instead of the mini peanut butter cups due to the "no peanuts" allowed in her class. The mini cups have a much more dramatic effect cause of their size, but the Rolo version still turned out pretty adorable.

Don't they look like little graduates all lined up?

A Personal Record

Sophia has been working hard on improving her time at the one mile kid's run during Nite Moves. Wednesday night was her personal best with the time of 9:24. Just think what she could do if she wasn't in a dress and talking!

Way to go Sweetie!

Blueberry Pickin'

When June rolls around in SB I think everyone, with kids, heads out to Restoration Oaks to pick blueberries. It's an easy 30 minute trip north and a fun activity for the kids. Just $15 a bucket and that doesn't include the sampling which might occur along the way. ; )

These blueberries are just too sweet and juicy on their own to warrant a recipe. And besides, they are almost all gone! : )

Instagram Weekend Re-cap

I've been taking a little break from Facebook. I haven't quit my account, but just not obsessing over perusing during down time. Anyway, I've been posting occasional photos on Instagram. I love, love, love Instagram and Hipstamatic. And since I love taking pictures, this is a great way to play around with the "negative." So here's my weekend recap via Instagram . . .

Reptile party complete with creepy crawlies

 Seal watching

A little old school beach town lunch

 Bubbly

If you live in SB, need I say more?

Taking in the view from mi casa.
Cocktails anyone?

May Madness

May turned out to be a one busy month! It started busy and never stopped. No complaints here though! Here is how the last couple of weekends were spent:

Wine tasting hosted by the lovely Marcy.
First stop, Cold Spring Tavern for mimosas and Bloody Marys.
Then it was off to Firestone and Brander

Then the following weekend was all about hair and lots of it!
My friend, Sheri, hosted a party book for our preschool at Shine.
Here's the lovely hostess! She's gonna kill me if she sees this!
Love you, Sheri!
Holley, enjoying some curls and champagne.
Bess, all smiles while prepping for her blow out
Mrs. Curly Q Ronda and Mrs. Big Pageant Hair Sarah
And here is the finished product!
