Kalista - 10 Months Old

At 10 months I can talk a whole lot! Unfortunately, no one seems to know what I am saying. : ( But I did repeat/say "yow wo bud" (translation: Yellow Bird) twice in front of my mommy and daddy! And remember a long time ago, when I was 9 months old, I was practicing on standing all by myself? Well guess what?! Persistency pays off! Pretty soon I'm going to be able to catch Sophia!
Oh and I know what you are thinking...it's easier to stand
on cushiony things. But guess what? I can do this
on the floor too and with socks. : )

First Homework Assignment

Sophia received her first homework assignment from school the other day. It was a body tracing project. She had her body traced at school and the assignment was to cut out the tracing and decorate it according to heritage. I think Daddy and Mommy, oops I mean Sophia, did a pretty good job! : )

Happy Anniversary

Today marks our 6 year wedding anniversary. It feels like so much longer than 6 years too; maybe it's because we've been together for 12 out of the 15 years we've known each other! We celebrated this evening with dinner at The Stonehouse. Beautiful view and fabulous food shared with the love of my life. Happy Anniversary David! I Love You!

Twinkle Toes

Sophia's first ballet lesson was this morning. I was a little worried I may have blown a lot of money because of the whole ponytail rule. Sophia DOES NOT like to have her hair in a ponytail. But in order to take ballet, the girls must have their hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Looks like I got lucky today!

Birds of a Feather

This morning Kalista & I went to Yellow Bird Music. Kalista was a happy camper and didn't even mind that the class ran into part of her nap time. Big sister, Sophia, was a little jealous when I told her where the Little One and I were going after drop-off. But then she didn't seem to mind after I told her it was a baby music class that we were attending.

Mommy Cards

Okay, I know it seems kind of silly but I couldn't help myself! As a Mommy I think it would be a huge benefit if every Mommy had cards; especially since it gets a little hard, at least for me, to remember every mommy's name and their kiddo's names as well!

Much different from my former business cards; these are much cuter! And yes, you can bet your bottom dollar I will be passing these out! : )

Little Angels

Today was Sophia's first day at her new school Little Angels. She was very excited and even picked out her clothes the day before as well as stuffed her backpack with "things" she might need.

Sophia had a wonderful first day! Drop-off went smoothly...I had to beg for a hug and kiss goodbye. I even received an email mid-morning letting me know Sophia and her friends, Jack & Luke, were having fun and were very happy!

Today was just a half-day, so the day went by fast. Looking forward to many more happy times!
Ready to go!
Showing off her new backpack
Looking like a pro!
Immediately found her buddies, Jack & Luke.
This is where Kalista and I headed for after drop-off.
I was able to sneak in during pick-up and take this picture
of all the kids in Group Story Time with Miss Jenny.
It's amazing how they are able to get all the kids to sit
down and listen to a story, attentively!
An after school treat! So proud of you Sophia!!
